Spring Makeup Picks

Spring Beauty Makeup Products

Woop woop it’s officially Spring and it’s finally starting to get a bit warmer. You know what that means.. warmer weather, warmer looks! So, now that it is Spring, dark shades are a thing of the past and it’s time for the pinks, corals and nude shades to come out to play. To be honest, I generally stick to this colour scheme all year round but having shimmery pink eyeshadow is just not the same in Winter. Now I can rock it and not feel guilty/off trend…

Urban Decay ‘Naked 3’ Palette is probably the best eyeshadow palette I own. Being a lover of pink eyeshadows, this palette is so versatile in creating a range of eyeshadow looks from soft daytime to smokey. There are so many different shades to choose from and the pigmentation of all the colours is amazing, also the formula is oh so buttery! My fav shades are Strange (browbone), Dust (inner tearduct), Buzz & Trick (lids), Nooner (crease) and Blackheart (outer v).

Still within the eyeshadow category, KIKO eyeshadows are a must for me in Spring. The new High Pigment Wet and Dry Eyeshadow in 02 Pearly Rose provides a nice wash of colour on the lid when dry and intensifies to a foil shadow finish when used wet. Also, the Infinity eyeshadows in 207 Mat Papaya and 220 Metallic Golden Rose are amazing quality for such a cheap price and will create warm eye looks that I’m so ready for.

Taking the glow away from the eyes and to the cheeks, you guys know I’m a huge fan of Sleek blushes and the Sleek Blush in Coral is a must have for this season. It warms up my cheeks so well and freshens up my makeup look. To boost it even further, on my cheekbones, MAC Lustredrops in Sun Rush is bae for a healthy sheen. Unfortunately this shade has been discontinued, but I find any gold-toned liquid highlighter to be great this season as my skin is not too dry like in the Winter and not too too oily like in the summer, so it stays put. I love how healthy and luminous this makes my skin look as there is no shimmer but just light reflecting properties.

Staying with MAC, they never dissapoint in the lipstick department and their Cremesheen Lipstick in Ravishing is my fav for this particular time of year. I always bring it out from hiding around this point and rock it all the way through the summer months too. It is a peachy coral that glides on the lips and although creamy, it lasts pretty long… I can’t wait to wear it.

So, those are the products I’ll be rocking this Spring. Pinks, corals and peachy hues.

What are your top picks for Spring?
